Docebo Enhances Learner Autonomy With LinkedIn Learning Integration
As part of Docebo’s dedication to continuous innovation, we’re excited to announce that we’ve joined forces with LinkedIn Learning’s Integration Partner Program, which provides organizations with access to LinkedIn Learning content directly through their Docebo learning platform to improve user experience across all stakeholders in the corporate learning chain.
The integration gives organizations and their learners access to LinkedIn Learning’s entire catalogue of more than 12,000 best-in-class courses within the Docebo eLearning Content Marketplace, which since its release in 2017 has made purchase and delivering high-quality learning content easier than ever before.
Enabling Learner Autonomy
Docebo’s eLearning Content Marketplace gives L&D admins access to top-quality learning content directly within their Docebo LMS. Unique to this integration is the ability for L&D admins to select courses relative to their needs and distribute them to LinkedIn learners by inserting them into learning plans, or organizational “playlists.” Additionally, it gives learners the autonomy to pick and choose e-learning opportunities that satisfy both personal and professional interests. This capability is unlike a standard LMS, in which content is generally assigned on an admin-only basis.
Additionally, an automated course catalogue integration gives learners a way to search and discover LinkedIn Learning content within their learning platform, which is particularly helpful as up to 40 new courses are added to its library every week. LinkedIn Learning’s content library is already home to more than 12,000 courses that cover topics including:
- Business Software
- Educational and Instructional Design
- Information Management
- Leadership and Management
- Marketing
- Graphic and Web Design
- IT Networking
Among the more exciting facets of this endeavour is that courses are taken within the context of the Docebo platform, streamlining an L&D administrator’s ability to track learner progress, pull data on their performance and assess (and update) programs based on individual learner needs.
How Access and Activate LinkedIn Learning in Docebo
To access the LinkedIn Learning catalogue in your LMS, you will require access to Docebo’s Content Marketplace. To do so, you will need to log into Docebo as a superadmin, as these are the only type of administrators with access to the Content Marketplace. Once you’re logged in, access the admin menu by clicking the gear icon in the top right corner of the page, and select the Content Marketplace item.
This will bring you to a main Content Marketplace page, where you will see all available vendors from which you can browse, choose, purchase and sync off-the-shelf learning content. Click on the LinkedIn Learning item to open an iframe of LinkedIn Learning in Docebo. Then click the key icon in the top right corner of the page to enter your credentials and gain access to the courses available within the Content Marketplace. Docebo does not provide these credentials.
Once you’ve entered your credentials, press Activate.
How to Add LinkedIn Learning Content to Docebo
You can browse content in LinkedIn Learning’s catalogue by searching for specific content or filtering it by subject and difficulty. When you find a course that you’d like to sync into your Docebo platform, simply press the Import Button in the course’s tile. You can select whether you’d like to import the course as a new course or save it as a learning object in the Central Learning Object Repository.
